Rota Olympics 2018, a two-day event, was organized by Zone VI on 24th February and 3rd March 2018 at TIA Football Ground, Budanilkantha and Islington College, Kamalpokhari respectively. The gist of the event was to accrue sportsmanship and fellowship among the rotaractors and as well as to build synergy among the fellow rotaractors. It was an inter-zonal amateur tournament, where participants from each club represented their respective zone. There was a participation of 5 zones: Zone VI, Zone VII, Zone VIII, Zone IX, and Zone X.

Club Service Director- Rtr. Sandesh Shrestha and General Member- Rtr Bishal Gurung from RAC Baneshwor Royal represented the Zone IX at the two-day event. Rtr. Sandesh Shrestha participated in Table Tennis(Single), 100m Race, and Sack Race, whereas Rtr. Bishal Gurung participated in Table Tennis(Single), 100m Race and they both participated as a team in Table Tennis(Double) and Three-Legged Race.

The first day of the event held at TIA Football ground was embellished with Rota-Olympics posters around the vicinity and had been marked with flour for Athletics game. It was inaugurated at 9:30 am by singing the national anthem and followed by registration for Athletics. Cost for participation was Rs. 100 per game per person. The organizing team provided distinct colored ribbons for each zone participants, where the yellow colored ribbon was for Zone IX. Games organized on the first day were- 100m race, 400m race, Relay race, Girls Cricket, Kabbadi, and Madka Phod. In the 100m race, Rtr. Sandesh Shrestha and Rtr. Bishal Gurung both were advanced to the final race. Rtr. Bishal Gurung was able to secure the second position and amassed 3 points for the zone. Likewise, Rtr. Sandesh Shrestha was able to secure the first position in Sack Race augmenting the zone points by 5. Also, they were able to secure the second position in Three-Legged Race, again amassing 3 points for the zone. They also interacted with other clubs of Zone IX and represented the Zone in the game Kabbadi. At the end of the day, Zone IX had collected 29 points securing second position in the tournament.
